As your 5th District Representative in the U.S. House of Representatives, each year I have the privilege of nominating a limited number of people to four of the five service academies. The honor of attending a service academy comes with an obligation and commitment to serve in the military for a minimum of five years upon graduation. Our office will host an informational session on Saturday, April 27th, 2013 at Fork Union Military Academy from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Students, parents, teachers, and counselors are invited to attend. You will hear an overview of the United States Service Academies and their admissions processes, and representatives from all five military academies will be available to answer your questions.
